Skills of Christmas gnomes

I read a book about gnomes and wrote a comment to it, thinking that the subject tends to break because foreigners are too interested inti. So I translated my text to English and got stuck writing a long text, with lots of links to my other texts, about the possibilities of gnome like life in the modern world. Now the text is already very long, and I feel that there isn't much that I could anymore say about the subject.
